Hi, I’m Peter
I’ve worked in the aviation industry for nearly 40 years — as a private pilot, air traffic controller, ATS instructor, meteorologist, English teacher, course developer, and ICAO English language proficiency rater.
My interest in clear and effective communication started when I worked as an air traffic controller in New Zealand and the Middle East. Since then, I’ve completed the Cambridge CELTA, aviation English teaching, and ICAO rating courses.
These days, I’m a recreational pilot, a qualified English language proficiency (ELP) assessor, and Air Traffic Services Instructor. I understand what it takes to pass ICAO English tests and to enjoy learning and practicing aviation English along the way.
